Customization Options

At AfriBloom, each piece is handmade in Belgium with care, in small batches or made-to-order.

We do not offer full tailoring, but we do offer thoughtful customizations to ensure your piece fits beautifully and stays true to the AfriBloom identity.

What can be customized (depending on the model):

  • Sleeve options: sleeveless, short sleeves or 3/4 sleeves
  • Add pockets (when the fabric and design allow it)
  • Choose the fabric style: African wax only, modern fabric only, or a mix
  • Adjust the length: petite, midi or maxi
  • Contrast details: bodice, panels, cuffs or hoodie (depending on the design)


    • Fabric Requests

    You love a design but not the suggested fabrics?
    You may propose your own fabric by sending us a link or reference.

    Please note:

    • The fabric must align with the AfriBloom signature (wax or kente)
    • No fabrics with stones, heavy embellishments, or materials that are too difficult to sew
    • Final approval is required before purchase


      • Fit & Measurements (Very Important)

      Selecting a size alone is often not enough for the best result.

      For a better fit and better look, we strongly recommend providing your measurements:

      • Bust
      • Waist
      • Hips

        • If you have specific areas you are concerned about, we may suggest designs with elastic waistbands or more forgiving cuts.


        Production & Payment

        Most AfriBloom pieces are customized and made-to-order.

        For this reason:

        • Full payment or a minimum 70% upfront payment is required before production
        • This covers fabric, buttons, snaps, accessories and preparation work
        • Customized items are more difficult to resell due to their unique nature


          • Confirmation Before Sewing

          Before starting any sewing, we always confirm all details with you via WhatsApp to avoid mistakes and ensure peace of mind.

          Returns & Issues

          We stand by the quality of our work.

          • If a mistake is made on our side, we will of course offer a solution or refund
          • Any issue must be reported within 7 days after receiving your order
          • Requests made weeks later or after the item has been worn multiple times cannot be accepted

            • Fabric availability may change
            • Pattern placement may vary slightly
            • This uniqueness is part of the beauty of handmade pieces

              • Your item may not be identical to the photo, but it will always be made with care, balance and style.
